A tool like this either works or it doesn't. This one works fine, is comfortable on sore hands, and saves a ton of work. Unlike most, I don't use this for pies, but to cut up fruit of various kinds for juicing. It's great for that.
All in all, it is a sharp sturdy little wedger that should last a very long time.

The spot welds broke and the tool fell apart. Poor qual control and shoddy welding = hunk of junk. The plastic should be the weakest link in the slicer, but not on this particular example.
